What makes it different
We make them, then we hang them
Most cabinet installers order flat-packed boxes and assemble them on site. Pablo builds face frames and carcasses in his own shop in Grandview — which is why a cabinet fits your wall instead of nearly fitting it, and why an odd corner or a run that isn't square stops being a problem.
- Face frames milled, glued and clamped in the shop
- Built to your kitchen's real measurements, not a catalog size
- The person who built it is the person who installs it

Same kitchen
Before and after
Dated cream cabinets and laminate counters, in a room that hadn't been touched in decades. New dark shaker cabinetry, quartz counters and hardware — same footprint, same window, completely different room.

What we do
Cabinets first, and the room around them
Custom kitchen cabinets
Built for your kitchen from scratch — shaker doors, glass fronts, blind corners, crown to the ceiling. Painted or stained the color you actually want.
Cabinet refacing
If the boxes are sound, we can keep them and rebuild what you see: new doors, drawer fronts and hardware. A far smaller job than a full replacement.
Kitchen remodels
The whole room, managed start to finish — cabinets, counters, backsplash, lighting and the trim that ties it together.
Flooring
Laminate and vinyl plank laid clean and straight, including the transitions and baseboard most people notice only when they're wrong.
Windows & doors
Replacement windows, exterior and interior doors, fitted square and finished properly so they seal, swing and look right.
Finish carpentry
Trim, crown, baseboard, built-ins and the detail work that makes a room feel finished rather than merely done.

Who you'd be hiring
A one-man shop, and the family behind it
MPS Finish Carpentry is Pablo Salgado. He started the business in 2023 and works out of a shop in Grandview, building cabinetry for kitchens across the Yakima Valley and the Tri-Cities.
When you call, you get Pablo. When cabinets are being built, Pablo is building them. When they go in, Pablo is the one hanging them. There is no crew to hand you off to and no salesman between you and the person doing the work.

Questions
Before you call
Do you build the cabinets yourself?
Yes. Face frames and carcasses are built in our shop here in Grandview, then installed by the same person who built them. We're not ordering flat-packed boxes and screwing them together on site.
What does a kitchen cost?
It depends on the size of the room, how much of the existing kitchen stays, and the doors and finishes you pick. Call and describe the kitchen and we'll give you a real number before you commit to anything.
Can you reuse my existing cabinets?
Often, yes. If the boxes are solid we can reface them — new doors, drawer fronts and hardware — which costs considerably less than replacing everything. We'll tell you honestly which one your kitchen needs.
How far do you travel?
Yakima and Benton County. Grandview, Sunnyside, Prosser, Zillah, Toppenish and out to Benton City, Richland and Kennewick. If you're not sure whether you're in range, just call and ask.
Do you do more than kitchens?
Yes. Flooring, replacement windows, interior and exterior doors, trim and built-ins. A lot of kitchen jobs end up including the room around them, so we handle that too.
How long does a kitchen take?
It varies with the size of the job and how much is being replaced. We'll give you a realistic timeline up front rather than an optimistic one, and tell you which stretch you'll be without a working kitchen.
